How to Play CricketX, Step by Step
Learning CricketX takes about two minutes. Understanding what your clicks actually control takes a little longer, and that second part is what keeps people from burning a budget in the first session. This walkthrough covers the controls on the betting panel, the order of a round, and the small details, like how the second bet slot and auto cash-out interact, that the in-game help screen skims over.
We are not connected to SmartSoft Gaming or to any casino. Button labels can differ slightly between operators, so match these steps to what you see on your screen.
Before the First Round
Check the game info screen. Every licensed casino has to show the rules for each game. Open it and find three numbers: the RTP your version uses (database listings give 98.8%), the minimum and maximum stake, and any cap on the amount a single round can pay. These vary by operator.
Decide your session budget now, not later. Pick a number you can lose completely without it mattering. Write it down. Rounds in CricketX last seconds, so a budget you only "keep in mind" disappears quickly.
Consider the demo first. If your casino offers a demo or fun mode, use it to learn the panel without real stakes.
Step 1: Set Your Stake
The panel has two bet slots, usually side by side under the pitch. Each slot has:
- a stake field you can type into,
- plus and minus buttons,
- quick-pick amounts for common stakes.
Set the stake in the left slot first. Leave the second slot alone for now; one bet is enough while you learn.
Step 2: Place the Bet During the Countdown
Between deliveries there is a short betting window. Press the Bet button before it closes. The button changes state to show the bet is accepted. If you miss the window, the bet usually carries over to the next round, and most panels let you cancel it before the ball is struck.
Step 3: Watch the Multiplier Climb
The batsman hits, the multiplier starts at 1.00x and rises as the ball travels. Your Bet button now shows a live amount: stake multiplied by the current figure. With a 10-unit stake, at 2.30x it reads 23 units.
This is the moment people overthink. The flight length was fixed before the delivery. Watching closely, counting seconds or reading the batsman's animation gives you no extra information.
Step 4: Cash Out or Lose the Stake
Press the cash-out button whenever you are happy with the amount shown. The bet settles at the multiplier at that instant. If the flight ends first, the stake is gone.
| Stake | Cashed out at | Payout | Profit |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | 1.50x | 15 | +5 |
| 10 | 2.00x | 20 | +10 |
| 10 | 4.80x | 48 | +38 |
| 10 | flight ended at 1.32x, no cash-out | 0 | -10 |
On a slow connection, the server's moment of cash-out counts, not your click. That is one reason many players rely on auto cash-out instead of reflexes.
Step 5: Use Auto Cash-Out
Inside each bet slot is an auto cash-out switch. Turn it on and type a multiplier, for example 1.80. If the flight reaches 1.80x, the bet settles there automatically. If it ends at 1.55x, you lose.
Auto cash-out is useful for two reasons. It removes lag from the equation, and it removes the in-the-moment temptation to wait "just a bit longer". It does not improve the odds: the probability of reaching 1.80x is the same whether a script or your finger presses the button.
Step 6: Add the Second Bet (Optional)
Once the single-bet routine feels natural, the second slot opens up a common pattern:
- Slot one: larger stake, low auto cash-out (say 1.40x).
- Slot two: smaller stake, higher target (say 5.00x) or manual cash-out.
Each slot is settled independently. You can cash out one and leave the other running. Remember that you are now risking both stakes every round, so your budget drains roughly twice as fast if you keep the same amounts.
Step 7: Autoplay, If Your Casino Offers It
SmartSoft's promotional material lists an autoplay feature. Where enabled, it repeats your stake for a chosen number of rounds, usually alongside auto cash-out. Set a round count and, if the panel allows, a stop on total loss. Autoplay makes rounds pass even faster, which makes the budget step above more important, not less.
Reading the Rest of the Screen
History strip. A row of recent crash points along the top. It is a record, not a forecast. Each delivery is independent, so a run of 1.1x results does not make a 10x more likely next. Believing otherwise is the gambler's fallacy.
Live bets list. Shows other players' stakes and cash-outs in real time. Fun to watch, useless for decisions.
Chat. A social layer listed among the game's features. Treat any "signals" posted there as noise or as advertising for scam services.
A Sensible First Session Plan
- Open the game info and note the RTP and stake limits.
- Play 20 rounds in demo with one bet and auto cash-out at 2.00x.
- Note how often you won and how the balance moved. It will look streaky; that is normal randomness.
- If you move to real money, start with the smallest stake and a fixed budget, and leave when it is gone or when your time limit is up.
Mistakes New Players Make
- Raising stakes after losses to "win it back". This is how small budgets become large losses.
- Ignoring the payout cap and assuming 25,000x on a big stake would pay in full.
- Running two bets without halving the stake, doubling exposure by accident.
- Reading meaning into the batsman's animation. It is a visual, not a tell.
